[ARCHIVED] Geneva Street Program - June 13 Update

City Road Construction

Geneva Construction, a City contractor, will be working on the 2025 Street Program, which includes resurfacing 19 residential roadways in the community. Additional improvements involve pavement patching on Third Street, reconstruction of the Hamilton Street parking lot, reconfiguration of James Street parking, updated pavement markings, and drainage repairs. A project map and list of locations are available online.

June 13 Update

The contractor is scheduled to finish all sidewalk/curb repairs by Friday, June 20 along Lewis Road from Peck to Miller roads, including all the cul-de-sacs. The asphalt pavement will be milled in late June once the concrete work is completed. A schedule will be announced soon.

Crews will begin removing sections of sidewalk and curbs the week of June 16 on Northampton Drive from Kaneville Road to Williamsburg Avenue.

All traffic lanes and intersections along South Third Street have been open since May 16 following completion of pavement patching from James to Campbell streets.

Lewis Road

Work now turns to Lewis Road, where crews began digging near storm catch basins for grout replacement this week. Starting the week of May 26, concrete curbs will be removed on Lewis Road from Peck to Kaneville roads. Once the concrete is removed, asphalt grinding is expected to begin the first week in June.

Similar work will follow on four side streets off Lewis Road, including Osprey Court, Old Mill Court, Peterson Court, and Heritage Court. Concrete removal is scheduled for the first week of June, followed by asphalt grinding in the second week.

Sidewalk and curb work and filling in roadway cracks will continue into mid-June.

All work is weather-dependent and subject to change.
