Geneva Construction, a City contractor, will be working on the 2025 Street Program, which includes resurfacing 19 residential roadways in the community. Additional improvements involve pavement patching on Third Street, reconstruction of the Hamilton Street parking lot, reconfiguration of James Street parking, updated pavement markings, and drainage repairs. A project map and list of locations are available online.
June 18 Update
Lewis Road
The contractor is scheduled to begin milling asphalt Monday, June 23 on Lewis Road from Peck to Miller roads, including all the adjacent cul-de-sacs. Paving operations will then commence on those same roadways the following week. The project is expected to be completed by Thursday, July 3.
Residents and visitors should not be parking on the streets when crews are present, which will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Hamilton Street Parking Lot
Reconstruction of the parking lot on the southwest corner of Hamilton Street and North River Lane will start the week of June 23, with work scheduled to be finished in late July or early August.
The City will attempt to limit the disruption, but there will be periods where half the parking lot will be inaccessible due to construction.
James Street Parking Reconfiguration
Parking spaces on James Street from First (Route 31) to Second streets will be reconfigured with excavation and sidewalk removal work beginning the week of June 23. Parking will not be available in this one-block stretch during construction.
