Geneva Construction, a City contractor, will be working on the 2025 Street Program, which includes resurfacing 19 residential roadways in the community. Additional improvements involve pavement patching on Third Street, reconstruction of the Hamilton Street parking lot, reconfiguration of James Street parking, updated pavement markings, and drainage repairs. July 3 Update
Road Resurfacing
Road resurfacing has been completed on Northampton Drive, Fargo Boulevard and Lewis Road (including all the adjacent cul-de-sacs off Lewis Road.
James Street Parking Reconfiguration
Construction crews were filling the parkway that was excavated with stones. The area is set to be paved either Friday, July 11 or the week of July 14. The roadway from First to Second streets has been intermittently closed when construction has been underway.
Motorists should use caution when driving through the work zone.
Hamilton Street Parking Lot
Concrete repairs have been completed in the parking lot on the southwest corner of Hamilton Street and North River Lane. Pavement removal and replacement is on tap for the week of July 14, with work occurring in one half of the parking lot and then shifting over to the other side later in the week.
Pavement Striping
The City is working with the contractor to secure a schedule for pavement striping on Northampton Drive, Fargo Boulevard, Lewis Road, the James Street parking reconfiguration, and the Hamilton Street parking lot projects. When pavement striping does occur, motorists can expect temporary lane closures for application and for the paint to dry.
All road construction project scheduled are subject to change due to weather or other factors.
