Lakeshore Recycling Systems will resume picking up bulk items and white goods in Geneva after the program was temporarily suspended in March due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Bulk items are objects that are too large to fit into a garbage cart or can, such as a mattress or furniture; white goods are appliances. Geneva residents can attach a refuse sticker to each bulk or white good item to set out with garbage on their normal collection day. Mattresses must be wrapped or enclosed in plastic. An unwrapped mattress will not be picked up by Lakeshore’s crews.
Garbage, recycling and yard waste collection programs have continued as normal the past few months.
