[ARCHIVED] Make Geneva Count With The 2020 Census

Census 2020

Update

The U.S. Census announced employees will begin knocking on front doors in the Chicago region starting in late July for those who have not self-responded to the 2020 Census. Here is what to expect if a Census taker pays a visit to your home.

There is still time to self-respond. The process is simple and safe.

Original Post - July 23

As of late July, about 82% of Geneva’s population has responded to the 2020 Census. Thank you to all those who took the time to complete this important process.

Even if you filled out your census, you can still help Geneva’s effort to make sure everyone counts. Asking neighbors, friends and family members if they have taken the time to respond is a big help. That is just one of the ideas on the City’s Census checklist as we make a final push toward the finish line. See how you can possibly win some Geneva swag. Also, test your knowledge with a fun Geneva Census quiz (see page 2 of the checklist...and here are the answers).

Geneva residents received information in the spring with instructions on how to self-respond. The City’s website contains information to help answer many common questions and connect residents with additional resources to help ensure an accurate population count. The Census takes less than 10 minutes to complete and can be done online, by phone or even U.S. Mail. The process is safe, simple, and secure.

For full details, check out the 2020 Census website. Let’s make Geneva count.
