The Geneva Public Works Department is conducting a storm sewer repair starting June 26 that will block patrons from exiting the Aldi grocery store parking lot onto East Side Drive for about one week.

Shoppers still will be able to enter Aldi, 975 E. State St., from East Side Drive, but they will need to use the State Street exits. The City notified Aldi regarding the construction project.

Crews will make the storm sewer repair June 26, and pour new concrete Tuesday or Wednesday, June 27 or 28. The asphalt repair will be made Thursday or Friday, June 29 or 30. The project should be wrapped up by the weekend, weather permitting.

The curb and sidewalk replacement, which are part of the City's 2023 sidewalk program, also will take place near the store's East Side Drive access drive during the week.
