[ARCHIVED] Street Improvement Program - Aug. 11 Update

City Road Construction

The City is working with Geneva Construction on 23 road resurfacing and drainage projects included in the 2023 street improvement program, which started in August and is expected to be completed in October. Here is the Aug. 11 update:

Pavement saw-cutting has gotten underway on 11 different streets throughout Geneva. Construction crews are scheduled to start removing concrete on Tuesday, Aug. 15 followed by concrete replacement, weather permitting. The streets being worked on include:

  • North Third Street;
  • North Fifth Street;
  • Crawford Street;
  • Eighth Street;
  • Mead Court;
  • Regency Court;
  • Stratford Drive;
  • Cape Way;
  • Deerfield Way;
  • Essex Court; and
  • Lark Street

Residents living on streets under construction are asked to remove plantings from behind the curb and next to sidewalks marked with white paint.

Some residents will temporarily lose driveway access due to the construction. The City will send advanced notification before driveways are disrupted. Cars should be parked on the street at a location not marked with white paint.
