[ARCHIVED] Street Improvement Program - Oct. 6 Update

City Road Construction

The City is working with Geneva Construction on 23 road resurfacing and drainage projects included in the 2023 street improvement program, which started in August and is expected to be completed in October. Here is the Oct. 6 update:

Completed Work

Since the last update, the contractor has finished resurfacing Williamsburg Avenue along with the following projects:

Concrete:

  • Spring Street; 
  • Spring Court;
  • Briar Lane;
  • Valley Lane; and
  • Ridge Lane

Drainage Repairs:

  • Study Area No. 7 Fisher Drive Near Larsdotter Lane

What Is Ahead

Pavement Marking Program 

  • Bricher Road;
  • Williamsburg Avenue; and
  • Other miscellaneous locations.

Pavement Milling

Operations are scheduled to start the week of Oct. 9 at:

  • Briar Lane;
  • Valley Lane; and
  • Ridge Lane.

Surface Asphalt

Construction started Oct. 6 on Mead Court and Lark Street Oct. 6 with operations continuing the week of Oct. 9 at:

  • Spring Street;
  • Spring Court;
  • Briar Lane;
  • Valley Lane; and
  • Ridge Lane

Construction is weather-dependent and subject to change.
