The City of Geneva’s Natural Resources Committee will be hosting a showing of “Green Fire” followed by a group discussion on the film Saturday, July 13.

The event takes place from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Geneva Public Library, 227 S. Seventh St. The event is free and open to the public.

“Green Fire” explores the life of environmentalist Aldo Leopold and how his observations and research resonate across the country from inner cities to remote wildlands. Leopold is considered the father of the national wilderness system, wildlife management and ecological restoration.  

The Natural Resources Committee will lead a discussion after the film and connect back to the committee’s native home landscape presentation held in March.
