The City’s International Cultural Exchange Committee announced a delegation from Croissy-sur-Seine, France (Geneva’s cultural partner city near Paris), will be visiting Geneva this fall.
The visit will occur from Friday to Tuesday, Sept. 20-24 and feature a welcome and farewell gala dinner, behind-the-scenes tour of the Geneva Public Library, Fabyan Japanese Garden tour and picnic by the Fabyan Windmill, a tree planting and more.
How You Can Help
Volunteer to host. The committee is seeking host homes for guests for four nights on a “bed & breakfast” basis. The committee asks that host homes and event venues be smoke-free. Knowledge of French is not a prerequisite, only Geneva Hospitality 101. However, if you speak French, the committee needs you. Hosts should plan to attend as many events as possible with their guests.
Not available to host overnight? Perhaps you can help with:
- Hosting a casual supper for 8-12 or more guests;
- Offering your home or garden for a tour;
- Providing meet and greet transfers to host homes;
- Volunteering to set up or coordinate an event; or
- Drive local trips when hosts are not available.
There are plenty of opportunities to join our Croissy friends at several events during the long weekend. To volunteer, or get more information, email Geneva International Committee members Cynthia Albright or Pam Cabeen.
