Kane County announced the Fabyan Parkway at Western Avenue intersection reconstruction project has been substantially completed.

All lanes of Fabyan Parkway have been restored and are open to traffic.

While some minor work remains, Kane County expects it to be completed in the coming weeks potentially requiring temporary daily lane closures with minimum impact to traffic.

Kane County’s Western Avenue and Fabyan Parkway intersection improvement project began in late May. The project scope included earth excavation, roadway reconstruction, hot mix asphalt pavement, storm sewer facilities, drainage structures, and landscape restoration. The County also reconstructed the existing multi-use path along the south side of Fabyan Parkway from Western Avenue to Route 31.
