The City’s Natural Resources Committee will spotlight Illinois’ prairie ecosystems during its next lecture series presentation at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at the Geneva Public Library, 227 S. Seventh St.

A Geneva Park District naturalist at Peck Farm Park will explore common characteristics of Illinois prairies. The presentation also will take a deep dive into the different plants and animals, as well as the methods land managers use to preserve this valuable landscape.
