Geneva Construction, a City contractor, will be working on the 2025 Street Program, which includes resurfacing 19 residential roadways in the community. Additional improvements involve pavement patching on Third Street, reconstruction of the Hamilton Street parking lot, reconfiguration of James Street parking, updated pavement markings, and drainage repairs. A project map and list of locations are available online.
June 13 Update
The contractor is scheduled to finish all sidewalk/curb repairs by Friday, June 20 along Lewis Road from Peck to Miller roads, including all the cul-de-sacs. The asphalt pavement will be milled in late June in the Lewis Road area once the concrete work is completed. A schedule will be announced soon.
Crews will begin removing sections of sidewalk and curbs the week of June 16 on Northampton Drive from Kaneville Road to Williamsburg Avenue.
The Mead Court water main lining construction is expected to be substantially completed by June 13. After the new infrastructure is inspected and tested, residents will be transitioned from the temporary water main back to the improved/existing water main without significant disruption.
