The City of Geneva is seeking to clarify an advertising letter sent from a private plumbing company to residents about the City's sanitary sewer service lateral lining and grouting program.
The City is not affiliated with the plumber, even though the City's logo was used in the letter.
Residents interested in participating in our sanitary sewer lateral lining and grouting reimbursement program should contact the City's Public Works Department Water Division directly by calling 630-232-1551 or emailing Superintendent of Water & Wastewater Bob VanGyseghem.
Program Details
The City's sanitary sewer system has more than adequate capacity to convey sanitary flow. However, during intense rains, stormwater can enter the sanitary sewer system through private and public stormwater sources. The City's reimbursement program has been developed to reduce infiltration of groundwater from private sewer services by lining or grouting the private sewer service lateral.
For more information about the City program, please visit our website. The program is based on a first-come, first-served basis and contingent upon budgetary authority and budget fund availability.
