The Ooh La La Chocolate half marathon, 10k and 5k run will take place Sunday, Nov. 2 in downtown Geneva.
To accommodate the event, parking will be prohibited on portions of several downtown streets after midnight Nov. 2 and fully closed to traffic at 4 a.m., including:
- Third Street from James to Franklin streets
- Campbell Street from River Lane to Second Street, and from Fifth to Sixth streets
- Franklin Street from Second to Sixth streets
- Second, Fifth and Sixth streets from Campbell to Franklin streets
- River Lane from Campbell to South streets
Route 31 (South First Street) will remain open, but traffic will be stopped periodically at the Campbell Street intersection to allow runners to cross the state highway. A detour route will direct drivers around the race course using James, Seventh, Fulton, and Third streets.
Geneva Police officers will provide traffic control, but motorists should use caution when traveling through downtown due to the large crowd anticipated to attend or participate in the race. All streets are expected to be reopened by 11 a.m.
