The City of Geneva announced tree trimming operations began this month in the downtown area.
A City contractor, Asplundh Tree Service, will be trimming trees primarily west of the Fox River, south of State Street (Route 38) and east of Randall Road. Work will occur periodically throughout the year as needed.
The pruning of trees is one of the most important maintenance practices to prevent power outages and help ensure reliable service for the City's electric utility.
The City has notified affected residents about tree trimming taking place in their neighborhood. A project map and more information can be found on the City’s website.
Residents who have questions or concerns can call the City's Public Works Department Electric Division at 630-232-1503.
