Yard waste will be picked up on people’s scheduled garbage collection day beginning in April through Nov. 30. Yard waste should be placed in a Kraft brown paper bag, which may not weigh more than 50 pounds, and set out with the trash. A waste sticker will need to be affixed to each bag.
During the third and fourth full weeks in March, residents can dispose of yard waste for free. No stickers are required. While LRS strongly prefers the use of yard waste bags, residents who pay for a designated LRS yard waste cart also can use that cart during the free collection period.
Both the City’s yard waste and curbside leaf collection programs wrap up at the end of November. However, residents with leaves on the ground can take advantage of the leaf bag program during December.
LRS also does offer an optional 65-gallon yard waste cart to residents for a monthly fee. Call the company’s customer service number to have a cart delivered to your home.
