Geneva residents who have old, broken, or unwanted strands of holiday lights can recycle them for free from Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, to Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026 at three convenient drop-off locations.
The City is collaborating with eWorks to offer this recycling opportunity. Holiday lights can be dropped off during normal business hours at:
Residents can recycle mini lights (or Italian lights), C7 & C9 lights, rope lights, LED strands, and extension cords. Garland, wreaths and outdoor display pieces containing lights will not be accepted.
