On occasion, the Geneva Police Department utilizes Unmanned Aerial Systems, commonly referred to as "drones," to enhance the department's mission of protecting lives and property when other means and resources are not available or are less effective.
The State of Illinois recently passed Public Act 103-0101, which impacts regulations relating to law enforcement's use of Unmanned Aerial Systems. The Geneva Police Department's policy regulating the use of Unmanned Aerial Systems can be found online.
