Bring the whole family to Geneva’s Wheeler Park Sunday and Monday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, for two unforgettable days of music, dance, storytelling, arts & crafts, food trucks, and community fun.
Now in its 49th year, the Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival features more than 20 nationally recognized, award-winning performers from across the country, plus beloved local artists and folk organizations. With six stages running continuously, you will discover:
- Mini-concerts & themed showcases
- In-the-round sessions where artists trade songs and stories
- Hands-on teaching workshops for music and dance lovers
- A lively kids’ zone with interactive fun for children
From traditional folk and old-time to singer-songwriter and blues, there is music and storytelling to inspire every taste and every age. Whether you come to listen, sing along, dance, or learn something new, you will leave with your spirit lifted and your heart full.
The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Patrons can stick around for some bonus fun Sunday evening for the Community Barn Dance at 6 p.m. followed by Spine-Tingling Tales from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wheeler Park is located at 822 N. First St. (Route 31) in Geneva.
