Kudos To City Employees

Great Job

Public-sector employees seem to have a target on their backs these days. The "sound-bite" rhetoric downgrading the value of public workers seems pervasive and simply acceptable in our current political culture.

Although compliments are rare, we do see more than most due to the quality of the workforce at the City of Geneva. Sometimes our work is very visible with our police, fire and public works employees out in the community. But many times, it is the behind-the-scenes efforts from our City staff that also deserves recognition.

Check out some of the recent feedback we have received from the community for a job well done.

Public Works - Online Cemetery Map

During the past several years, the City has been compiling data from both Oak Hill and West Side cemeteries regarding burials, lot ownership and plot availability to post online in an interactive map.

Public Works Department & City Administrator's Office - Snow Plowing & Communications

After plowing more than 12 inches of snow between Feb. 8 and 11, many Geneva residents took the time to share their appreciation for the Public Works Department for working long hours and for the City's communication outreach.
