Volunteer Opportunities
Do you enjoy volunteering? Throughout the year, the City of Geneva will offer various opportunities to lend a helping hand in sprucing up our community.
These projects are great chances for Scout groups and individuals to give back to their hometown. If one of the volunteer opportunities fits your schedule, please contact the designated City staff member.

Area generally defined railroad to north, Samantha Circle to east, Lewis Road to south and Peck Road to west. |
Prairie Green Recreation AreaRich BabicaPublic Works 630-232-1501 | Creation and installation of informational signage, benches, bike racks; General maintenance of gravel path, refuse/debris clean up in this passive recreation area. |
Cemetery CleanupRich BabicaPublic Works 630-232-1501 | General site clean-up, removal of debris/weeds, landscape maintenance |
Storm Sewer StencilingRich BabicaPublic Works 630-232-1501 | Application of messages such as “Dump no waste, drains to river” on City storm sewer inlets/catch basins. |
Open Space & Storm Channel CleanupRich BabicaPublic Works 630-232-1501 | Clearing of debris/limbs/branches from various City-owned open space to enhance storm water drainage. Spaces include: 1) Area bordered by Creekside Drive to Fourth Street and from South Street to commuter parking lot; and 2) Area bordered by Cheever to the railroad right-of-way and between 401 to 127 Cheever Ave. |
North Seventh Street Bike TrailRich BabicaPublic Works 630-232-1501 | Removal of tree debris, trimming of encroaching brush/trees, creation/installation of trail signage, debris removal from drainage swales adjacent to trail and general maintenance of gravel path. Area defined as path beginning at Edison and Stevens streets and then continuing on a northeasterly track into St. Charles. |
Graffiti MitigationStephanie DawkinsCity Administrator 630-232-7494 | Periodically there is graffiti throughout the City that needs to be removed. We are seeking individuals who would be interested on being part of a team that is called out to paint over the graffiti. All required supplies will be provided by the City. |
Geneva Cultural Arts CommissionCate TracyEconomic Development 630-938-4555 | The Geneva Cultural Arts Commission relies on volunteers who have a passion for and interest in promoting the arts. Volunteer opportunities are available for various events including the Steeple Walk, Shakespeare in the Park, RiverPark Concert Series, public art programs and more. |
